Welcomes New Board Members

Organization Raising Scholarship Funds for Students Graduating This June

The newest members of the Board of Directors of Avon Dollars for Scholars are:
  • Ann August, owner of Senior Transition Services of CT, LLC in Simsbury;
  • Ann Fishera Realtor at Douglas Elliman Real Estate in New York City;
  • David KotlerNeurosurgical Physician Assistant at the University of Connecticut Medical Center;
  • Kathy Marioni, Executive Director of the Connecticut State Department of Labor's Office of Workforce Competitiveness;
  • Mardell PenaSenior Vice President of Human Resources for Virtus Investment Partners, Inc. in Hartford;
  • Sarah Roberson, Principal of Out-of-Home Network LLC in Avon;
  • Devra Sisitzkyowner of 4 Paws Memorials, LLC in Avon, which provides pet cremation and memorial services;
  • Heather Toyen, a School Counselor at Avon High School and Thompson Brook School in Avon;
  • Steve WolfbergPrincipal/Chief Creative Officer, Cronin and Company Marketing Communications in Glastonbury;
  • Heidi Zacchera, a retired teacher in the Canton Public Schools and a Board member of the Avon Lions Club; and
  • Sydney Chatfield, Student Board Member of Avon Dollars for Scholars - The Junior at Avon High School is responsible forproviding ideas and suggestions to the Avon Dollars for Scholars Board and to generate buzz among students about applying for scholarships and encouraging attendance at fundraising events.
